Commercial Swimming Pool Plaster Resurfacing

Chicago Commercial Pool Plaster Resurfacing

Commercial Pool Plaster Resurfacing Chicago

When it comes to commercial pools, plaster resurfacing is more involved than replacing tile or concrete, and particular steps must be taken to ensure the job lasts and is completed to the highest of standards. All of our plaster resurfacing is fulfilled by our in-house remodeling professionals, whose quality work is backed up by our 10-year installation and material warranties.

Choosing the right plaster

While some commercial pool owners prefer a plain white plaster, others may want something a bit more intricate. Sunset Pools & Spas offers the following plaster options for commercial pools needing to make a statement:

  • Quartz
  • Polished marble
  • Pebble
  • Glass beads

The plastering process

Before the pool can be plastered, any old paint must be stripped and a bond coat must be applied. Most pools generally take three to four days to prep and plaster, but the size of the pool can make a difference.

Once the plaster is set, there are still several important steps to fulfill:

  1. The pool must be filled with clean water that has low levels of both metals and minerals.
  2. The plaster must be brushed several times each week for about four weeks.
  3. The pool water chemistry must be tested several times each week for about four weeks.

These steps are crucial for the plaster to set properly. Some clients may choose to take care of these steps on their own. However, we understand that most just don’t have the time.  Allow our experts to make the process as easy as possible. Keep them on staff for as long as you need.
